This April, Lady Maisery release ‘Live in Lockdown’, an online show beautifully filmed with the trademark vibrant sound of their unmissable live performances.
After having to cancel their 10th-anniversary tour in 2020, the band have reunited for their first gig in 18 months to bring you an evening of both unheard new material and old favourites from their many years of touring.
In a folk scene bursting with bold and innovative music, trio Lady Maisery shine brightly. With their unique approach to harmony singing, intelligent and thoughtful arrangements of both traditional repertoire and original compositions, multi-instrumentalists and singers Hazel Askew, Hannah James and Rowan Rheingans harness and celebrate their united voice.
One of the many things I love about this trio is their inventiveness and the depths they go to create a song…who else can convey the beauty of physics in a folk song? Read their guest post on their song – Order & Chaos. Take it from us, this is a ‘must see’ gig.
Over the last eleven years, the trio have toured widely, performing sell-out shows across the UK and Europe and have released five critically acclaimed albums, from which they will be performing in this concert as well as brand new material. Enhanced and enlivened by their vibrant live sound, far bigger than the sum of its parts, expect an uplifting and inspiring concert that will stay with you long afterwards.
The show will be streamed on April 29th and will be available to view for 14 days afterwards. Tickets can be found here:
