KLOF No. 91 gathers fourteen tracks from albums we’ve been reviewing: Kevin Coleman’s “K.C. Blues”, Dan Haywood and Harvey Lord’s “Ten Signs”, Creekbed Carter Hogan’s “Peasants Revolt”, Cinder Well’s “A Blooming Body” and Nick Granata’s debut “My Heart is Running Backwards!…”. Martin Carthy returns from the “Along The Road Forever” boxset, live at Sidmouth in 1978, plus The Modern Folk, Andrew Weathers, Tucker Zimmerman and Stella Kola.

The KLOF No. 90 mixtape turns back to the 1970s for three tracks from Martin Carthy’s “Along The Road Forever: Live at the BBC”, a 20-CD box set out today via Madfish: Cambridge Folk Festival 1977, a John Peel Session from 1976, St Albans Folk Club 1973. Plus new releases from Seu Jorge, Elanor Moss, Trá Pháidín, Biita Houdei, Jake Xerxes Fussell, Sairie, Two Runner and lots more.

Fourteen tracks moving between Bamako and Belize, Dakar and Geneva. Cymande’s nyah-rock, Orchestra Baobab’s 1975 Afro-Cuban swing, Bonobo remixing Ghanaian funk. A new KLOF Mixtape featuring a mid-way breakout featuring Martyn Bennett, a live set from Tabla Beat Science, the group founded by Zakir Hussain and Bill Laswell in 1999, which fused Hindustani music with Asian underground and drum and bass, and an Asian Dub Foundation remix of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
