Back in June, Jeffrey Silverstein announced Doggone, his new album, due for release on October 23rd, via UK label Full Time Hobby. The album, described as meeting at the intersection of loner-folk, cosmic country and kraut-laden choogle, finds the New Jersey native sounding fully rooted in the creative community around him.
On his new single Patchouli, Silverstein says, “This is our version of a kraut-country song”. Notably, it finds him broadening his sonic palette, here, alongside Paul Damian Hogan on keys, for the first time on record, saxophone warmth, courtesy of Blu Midyett. The press calls it a rhythmic, road-ready track that blends krautrock with wide-open Americana and that feel is beautifully captured in the visualiser, with all its analogue Kodacolor vibes:
