KLOF Mag has added a new persistent player to our Mix/Show page, making it easier to explore the site’s growing audio archive without interrupting what you’re listening to. Two buttons — Play and Info — now appear on the show/mixtape listing page. Hit Play to start a show, then keep browsing the rest of the page; the audio continues uninterrupted. The Info button lets you read about another show, or swap between mixes (see example image below).

Our Mixtapes have always been one of the most popular places to dig into the kind of music KLOF covers: folk, ambient, experimental, jazz, field recordings and everything in between. With the archive now fully functional and easier to navigate, it’s worth spending some time there. Don’t take my word for it – according to Mixcloud, accumulatively, fans have spent over 63 years listening to our mixes.
As part of the same update, code going back years has also been dusted off and updated. The KLOF Mixtape and Shows archive runs from 2010 to the present, with over 450 mixes — and new ones being added every week. This new function works on the Mix/Show Archive page only, i.e. if you want to listen to a mix in background while reading album reviews, open the album review links in a new window to avoid interruption.
