To mark the release of their self-titled album, out today, (New York, NY) Nashville-based, heartland rock band, Midnight Pilot, are to release four new live videos which will be shown exclusively on Folk Radio UK through the month of May. You can watch the first of them below with Elizabeth which was recorded in a house on Grantland Ave., in Nashville, TN.
Midnight Pilot consists of Grant Geertsma (vocals/guitar), Kyle Schonewill (guitar), Kris Schonewill (bass) and Justin DeWaard (drums). Originally from Holland, MI, the band moved to Nashville together to pursue music. They’ve been playing together for over a decade now and it shows. They have a great ear for harmonies and a classic americana sound with nods to Wilco, Paul Simon and Neil Young. You may just have to close your eyes and imagine that long road trip which this music is just perfect for.
The group is hitting cities in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and of course, Tennessee. We’re really looking forward to hearing more of these stripped down versions from their new album.
