Hearing Allysen Callery is a great start to any day in my books, she very quietly let this cover slip out a couple of weeks ago that I very nearly missed. I’m glad I didn’t, it’s a great cover of Neil Young’s ‘Like a Hurricane’, a song which apparently has been played of on every tour he’s done. It’s captured the imagination of many since it was written back in 1975 including Roxy Music who released two live versions.
Whatever the history Allysen places her own mark on it…quiet music for a loud world:
