Ark Life are a band we’d like to introduce you to today. They’ve been busy touring coast to coast in the US supporting such FRUK favourites as Gregory Alan Isakov, The Head & the Heart and Mount Moriah to name just a few. Their front man Jesse Elliott led These United States until 2012 when he decided to head to New York to start a new life. Thankfully that journey was halted in Denver where the future members of Ark Life met. The temptation to stick around and make music was clearly too strong…’the 3-part harmonies of pianist Lindsay Giles, bassist Anna Morsett (also of TUS), and guitarist Natalie Tate blended too perfectly with veteran Denver drummer Ben Desoto (Nathaniel Rateliff, The Czars).’
Fast-forward 2014 and we have a new video to share. Proud of Me Out There Mama was filmed on tour dates with Of Montreal & J. Roddy Walston & the Business. Watch it below:
“Ark Life draws its biggest comparison to the Band … endlessly listenable folk-rock that would even make Bob Dylan proud. Fused with a little bit of soul, the group has a classic rock sensibility, but the taste of modern musicians.” –THE DENVER POST
They release their debut album The Dream of You and Me on 19th August via Denver label Greater Than Collective.
