Marvin Tate

Made in collaboration with LeRoy Bach, with contributions from drummer Quin Kirchner and a cameo from Ben Lamar Gay, Marvin Tate’s new album, Controlled Burn, drops on August 29th via Amalgam Music. Watch the video for the album single ‘First You Hear’, – a musical firework exploding in your cerebellum.

Marvin Tate’s “Controlled Burn” is a hallucinogenic portal into a world that’s similar to ours, but the furniture is rearranged. Recorded as duo improvisations with longtime collaborator Leroy Bach, then remodelled and refined into the tightest 12 tracks, the method is brave, and the results speak of the angelic geometry of the universe within.
