Jules Reidy

Jules Reidy shares “Clerestory Windows V,” the final movement of the solo suite from their forthcoming album “Clerestory,” due September 25th via Thrill Jockey. Performed on hex electric guitar with Euclidean sequencing, it is the most pared-back piece on an album that sets a JACK Quartet commission against solo refractions of the same material.

Jules Reidy announces “Clerestory,” out September 25 via Thrill Jockey. The follow-up to “Ghost/Spirit” pairs two contrasting sides: “Shadow Symmetric,” a string quartet realised with the celebrated JACK Quartet, and “Clerestory Windows,” which refracts the same material through a solo lens. A harmonic world built from a tone and its shadow.

Released back in November, dessus oben alto up is the first collaborative recording between Andrea Belfi and Jules Reidy. A personal favourite is ‘alto’, which fizzes with a transformative vibrant energy.
