Da Fishing Hands, the latest release from Inge Thomson, saw its debut performance on Fair Isle in May 2014, this short film documents that performance and provides background to a project which ultimately aims to protect the marine environment around the Island and for it to be sustainably managed as it has been historically by Fair Isle folk.

We talk to Inge Thomson about her new Project ‘Da Fishing Hands’ which she began with Fair Isle singer-songwriter, musician and poet Lise Sinclair who passed away last year.

Inge Thomson recently took some time out from Crows’ Bones for Baylis Gray to record this special session in which she performs ‘Cycle’ from her 2010 debut album Shipwrecks & Static.
