Jác are a six-piece folk-pop ensemble that cross a mix of genres infused by Latin and European influenced instrumentations including horns, classical strings, ukulele, mandolin, accordion, and group vocal harmonies. Comparisons to Beirut would be more than justified but the band are by no means following in their tread.

This wonderful film from director Austin Wilson looks behind the scenes at Alela Diane and her forthcoming album. Shot entirely in her Portland home the film offers a very down to earth view of everyday life as well as a little insight into her inspirations and her new album.

Alex Ebert, lead singer of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros has just released his self-titled solo debut album Alexander. As Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros prepare for their Railroad Revival Tour with Mumford and Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show a few eyes were raised on the timing, but the album has been getting a lot of attention and airplay.
