It is the most beautiful album I’ve heard in a long long time, the use of field recordings take you inside the solitude of the singer for a deeply moving experience. Jác are a six-piece folk-pop ensemble that cross a mix of genres infused by Latin and European influenced instrumentations including horns, classical strings, ukulele, mandolin, accordion, and group vocal harmonies. Comparisons to Beirut would be more than justified but the band are by no means following in their tread.
