Animal Collective’s Geologist (Brian Weitz) began 2026 with a sonic bloom when his debut solo album, Can I Get a Pack of Camel Lights? dropped on Drag City. Post-post-punk energy, overdriven hurdy gurdy and throbbing analog synths all helped to lodge this one deep within the cerebellum.
This November he’ll be presenting his rippling songscapes across the stages of the UK and Iberian Peninsula. Marking the announcement he called on Nick Ciontea, who has previously delivered some masterful psych-visuals for Bitchin Bajas, to deliver us down a trippy wormhole for the album’s killer closer “Sonora”.
