French folk singer-songwriter Aure continues to peel back the layers of her upcoming debut album, printemps, out March 20th, 2026, on Mayway Records, with the release of her latest single, “A ti te tengo.” Arriving on the heels of “The Sailors’ Tales,” “Mi Corazon,” and “L’orage,” this rhythmic, Spanish-language track offers a short but profound look at the artist’s minimalist aesthetic. Aure, who transitioned from a career in architecture to music, brings a structural elegance to her folk compositions, often drawing comparisons to enigmatic icons like Sibylle Baier and Leonard Cohen.
The new single serves as an intimate anchor for the upcoming record, emphasising the beauty of stability and presence. Regarding the inspiration behind the track, Aure shares:
“It’s a love song. A simple, discreet love. It’s about settling down somewhere with someone and learning to appreciate what you have right next to you. It’s about knowing how to notice what beauty remains, even after the storm, and even more so after the storm. The repetitive guitar line is the song’s guiding thread, shifting slightly as it unfolds. We wanted the arrangements to highlight the voice and guitar, to strengthen it without overloading it, for the song to feel like it’s being hummed softly into someone’s ear, in all its simplicity.”
Written by Aure and recorded in Paris with collaborator Corentin Ollivier, the song benefits from a delicate balance of tension and warmth, further refined by the mixing of Taissa Arruda. This sonic precision is a hallmark of the artist’s broader work; her debut EP, a few notes, previously earned her spots supporting artists like Andy Shauf and Tom McRae, establishing her as a vital voice in the contemporary European folk scene.

Described as an “album of thresholds,” it explores the soul’s migration between languages and life chapters. From the bird-like wandering of “Los Pájaros” to the light-soaked “The Beginning,” the record navigates the space between architecture and art, using a multilingual palette to reflect a life lived across multiple cultures. Assisted by Pauline Denize on violin and Zoé Hochberg on drums, Aure has crafted a collection that feels both ancient and modern, shaped by “Graciela Iturbide’s photography, Wim Wenders’ Wings of Desire, and the intimate collages of photographer Katrien De Blauwer.”
