Aure
Paris-based singer-songwriter Aure releases her debut album printemps today via Mayway Records, marking the occasion with The Beginning, its key single and accompanying film. An album of thresholds written between endings and beginnings, printemps draws on the poetic minimalism of Leonard Cohen and Atahualpa Yupanqui, the enigmatic force of Lhasa and Jessica Pratt, and the precise economy of Bertrand Belin.
French folk artist Aure unveils “A ti te tengo,” a rhythmic Spanish-language single from her debut album printemps, out March 20th via Mayway Records. Moving from architecture to minimalist music, Aure crafts a “discreet love song” that celebrates finding beauty after the storm. The track’s repetitive guitar and intimate vocals highlight a delicate, multilingual sound inspired by Sibylle Baier and Leonard Cohen.
