I put this latest mix together only this morning, straight after my daily walk and a strong coffee (the main photo is from one of those walks, taken on a foggy morning). The mix starts gentle and serene with a focus on vocals, courtesy of Kaolin, Saint Sister, Tom Rosenthal and the rich baritone of Adrian Crowley. Things soon step up in pace with Wilco and Dave Rawlings Machine, who announce the weekend, followed by some rousing numbers from Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Songhoy Blues, Mama Rosin, Dur-Dur Band, Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains and Randolph’s Leap.
The Weather Station then starts the journey towards the close as we ease you out with Hiss Golden Messenger, David Crosby, Marina Allen, Damien Jurado, Aerial East and finally, the sublime vocal harmonies of Mountain Man.
Enjoy
