From Wiano (2014) (cover image above). The debut recording from SUTARI is leading the listener through the soundscapes of everyday life which whilst expressing an Intimacy within four walls also introduces an open and joyful experience for a larger gathering. As SUTARI, we sing in the kitchen, we sing in the bathroom, with the window open and by the fireplace, pouring tea, baking a cake or listening to the ticking of the clock, from walking in the woods to siting on a bench by the house or on a bridge by a lake. The Velvet Underground and Nico – Winter Song
From The Velvet Underground and Nico (Deluxe Edition)
Red River Dialect – Kukkuripa
From Broken Stay Open Sky (out 2nd February 2018 via Paradise of Bachelors). The London-based band (with Cornish roots) brings a windswept energy and daylight to a contemplative, gorgeously rendered suite of songs about inhabiting the landscape, and our bodies, in joy and pain alike. Informed by songwriter David Morris’s spiritual practice, and recorded largely live in the studio, this is the band’s most ambitious and emotionally affecting work to date: atmospheric but deeply rooted, equally concerned with investigating the concrete and the cosmic, both quiet details of the everyday and looming matters of faith.
