As many of our long-term readers and followers will know, Folk Radio UK started life as a 24/7 radio station. After plundering back through our old playlists I decided it would be fun to share some of this music via a Spotify playlist. The first, which you can listen to below, was from a December 2008 playlist. This isn’t the whole 24 hours, instead, I’ve selected tracks from throughout one day which equates to 5 hours of non-stop music.
Some of the more obscure tracks were thankfully on Spotify including the likes of The Wind Whistles a Canadian indie folk duo and Petra Jean Phillipson. After listening to the results it’s definitely worth plundering our vaults again.
