Eric Saint Nicholas is a California native and Nashville transplant whose debut album American Heartbreak Radio is due for release on January 13, 2017. We have the pleasure in sharing his second single Highway Rhymes. The track haunts and lures you with a solo acoustic guitar performance and harrowing vocals backed by smoky synth sounds and sultry Wurlitzer keys. The video companion was created in tandem with Natas Pictures in an abandoned warehouse outside of New York City.

Highway Rhymes is a conversation that started between me and my guitar. It’s about puzzles, riddles, projection and growing pains. Life can be complex and confusing, especially when you’re young and facing the unknown. I wrote the song as a way of dealing with the anxieties and questions that come along with the irony of feeling alone in a city as big as Manhattan. Most of all, Highway Rhymes reflects lessons I’ve learned about taking the time to listen to and understand myself and others along the way.
