It’s been a while since we’ve heard new music from Johnny Flynn whose acting career has also been keeping him occupied including ‘Song One’, an American drama film in which he starred opposite Oscar-winning Anne Hathaway. In the movie Flynn played a musician who also happens to be the favourite artist of Hathaway’s brother who is in a coma. She hopes to revive him with Flynn’s music…you’ll have to watch the film to find out what happens.
Anyhow, today Johnny Flynn has closed the gap by revealing ‘Raising the Dead,’ a track from his forthcoming new album Sillion due for release on Transgressive Records on 24th March. He revealed that it features a host of wonderful musicians – The Sussex Wit (David Beauchamp, Adam Beach, Lillie Flynn, Holly Holden, Cosmo Sheldrake and Joe Zeitlin) and a few others thrown in for good measure.
