I first stumbled across Skipper’s Alley back in 2014 since when they seem to have gone from strength to strength becoming one of the shining lights of the Dublin music scene alongside the likes of Lynched who were singing their praises last night when I chatted to them before their Sidmouth FolkWeek gig.
A couple of months ago we featured a video of them playing in The Parlour Bar of Whelan’s in Dublin, here they are again playing another tune from that same set – Why She Couldn’t Drink Her Tea. This sort of talent and sound really makes my day.
