We have a special video premiere today for ‘Grateful’, the new single/EP release from the acclaimed Blue Rose Code. The title track features the famed McCrary sisters and is taken from the soon to be released studio album entitled …And Lo! The Bird Is On The Wing (released at 2016’s Celtic Connections).
With the lyrics still being penned as the McCrary Sisters were en route to the session, the song is a celebration of the now, of love, of fellowship, of gratitude. With all of that in mind, Ross Wilson asked fans to submit their own idea of what ‘grateful’ meant to them. The response was overwhelming, poignant and very moving.
Because of timing restrictions, scores of submissions didn’t make the final edit, and the resulting video really is quite special.
A testament to love and light in a world of dark challenges.
