Blue Rose Code, aka acclaimed singer-songwriter Ross Wilson, releases The Water Of Leith, the album marks another step forward and is his first album for Navigator Records.

FRUK are delighted to premiere this gentle, solo video performance of ‘Midnight’s Mass In Suffolk’s Breast’, originally written and recorded with Nashville’s McCrary Sisters for the ‘Grateful EP’ in 2015. Filmed by Mark Archibald.

Blue Rose Code put on a spectacular performance at Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall for his Homecoming show. One which featured some of Scotland’s finest musicians, as well as a more than fifty members of Edinburgh and Glasgow Contemporary choirs – a musical celebration of everything that’s wonderful about this region of the country.

Dick Gaughan, Blue Rose Code and Dean Owens are to perform at a special show on Friday 6th May in Edinburgh. As well as separate sets from each of these proud Leithers, there may also be some surprise collaborations.

Rob caught up with Ross Wilson (AKA Blue Rose Code, our Artist of the Month) on his return from Celtic Connections for a very personal and in-depth interview about his new album …And Lo! The Bird Is On The Wing

This is a much stronger step forward from Blue Rose Code than might be initially apparent. It’s an album that rewards return visits with new discoveries and one on which his Scottish roots are far more in evidence. Ultimately, it’s all about those songs…his best yet.

We have a video premiere today for ‘Grateful’, the new single/EP release from Blue Rose Code who asked fans to submit their own idea of what ‘grateful’ meant to them. The response was overwhelming, poignant and very moving.

In our latest Photo-Interview feature we talk to Blue Rose Code who’s busy touring before heading to the studio in May to record the next record. “Then for the next six months I’m going to sit on my arse on the beach in Bournemouth and read…and just be actually.”
