Cold Specks has unveiled a new short film taking the title of her 2014 album Neuroplasticity. Here the emphasis is on ‘short film’, as any suggestion that it’s a quick fire music video will soon be put to bed by the inclusion of two songs from the album, Living Signs and Old Knives as well as a storyline with a deeper vision.
Directed by Young Replicant, Pulse Films, the storyline involves a search for a missing girl and a young friend whose fleeting memories are offered up via his trusty video camera which is always close to hand. His connection to her and her disappearance remain unclear and the film leaves more questions than answers. Whilst this may be seen as slightly annoying it does add to the potency and adds shades of darkness to the film which also features some great cinematography. Watch it below:
