In April last year Boo Hewerdine and Findlay Napier started writing songs about people with interesting life stories. A few months later with twenty eight new songs in hand they intend to record and release some of those songs as an album called VIP:Very Interesting Persons.
To help them do this they started a Pledge Music campaign which ends today. The monies raised will help pay for session musicians and the recording, mixing and mastering of the album at Kyoti studios with reknowned engineer Mark Freegard (Del Amitri\Eddi Reader).
The album will contain songs based on a whole host of colourful characters including the master conman who sold the Brooklyn Bridge at least once a week for thirty years, the actress that invented Wifi, the stunt pilot who discovered Angel Falls and the Japanese soldier who fought the Second World War well into the 1970s.
At the time of posting this they have reached 68% of their goal…as always, they have some great rewards for contributors including signed CDs, guitar lessons, house concerts and more. Find out more and support them here:
