EPISODE 26 of ‘Mix Tape Radio On Folk Radio UK’ starts off with a track from one of my favourite albums of 2013 that was not released in 2013 (sometimes amazing albums fall through the cracks). That’s followed by a record that might not be considered very ‘folk radio-y”, but hey, we’ve all got a wide range of tastes, yeah? There’s a nice stretch of tunes that make for a good ‘stare out the window and think about how cold it is this time of year’ session (blame that on me having just got back to England from a couple weeks in Portugal), but before anyone has a chance to drift off into a deep cold day dream, ScotDrakula will be grabbing you by the shirt collar and shouting “BURNER” in your ears (but the good kind of shouting). And then things wrap up with a nice 5 song run, featuring a new-to-me discovery and some old faithfuls (including an old Clem Snide song about waiting for a moment in the sun, which, although he’s being metaphorical, is still pretty apt for this time of year).
All in all, it’s another good one. Hope you enjoy it, and if you do, pass it on to your friends.
