This week Danny Green from the band Laish finds himself on a muggy day in Brighton, digging through the best unheard songs from his contemporaries and picking out some old gems from the vault. We also have a beautiful and specially recorded live session from Bristol based singer songwriter, Nuala Honan, who has just released a tremendous new album, The Tortoise (read Thomas Blakes FRUK Review). She is an integral part of the Bristol music scene and puts on an excellent weekly folk night at the Golden Lion pub. A hearty recommendation for those looking for a bit of quality.
Originally from rural Australia, Nuala spent a year in Adelaide where she was awarded the South Australian Music Industry Award for Most Outstanding Female Vocalist before moving to England aged 19- following her family’s musical heritage and an adventurous music scene.
Known for her charming stage presence, she has consistently claimed due attention from audiences in Australia, Ireland, China, Croatia, and UK for 9 years, most recently in 11 English cities promoting the single ‘Wake & Howl’.
