It feels like we’re doing this at just the right time. Airing our session with Laish now, on the release their latest album ‘Obituaries‘ (Folkwitt Records) which, if there is any justice in the world, will quickly lead to them being whisked off to play at the hottest festivals and venues around the world.
An integral part of The Willkommen Collective (The Miserable Rich, Sons of Noel and Adrian,The Leisure Society), Laish are one of the most exciting bands in Brighton. They’ve been, been described as indie-folk, chamber-indie, folk-rock, and many other combinations of those words, but when it comes down to it they simply make great pop music.
The band have toured relentlessly throughout the UK and Europe over the last three years, both headlining and supporting the likes of Grizzly Bear, Beach House, Sons of Noel & Adrian, Peggy Sue and David Thomas Broughton. They will also be performing at the End Of The Road festival later this year.
Obituaries is released on Monday 25th March on Folkwitt Records.
