For today and tomorrow only Karine Polwart is providing a “sneaky listen” to her Donald-Trump-inspired song “Cover Your Eyes”. The track will feature in Karine’s next album ‘Traces‘ (due out August 13th).
The Trump Connection: Back in April last year we helped publicise the documentary You’ve Been Trumped which examines Donald Trump’s plans to construct a luxury golf resort on one of the most environmentally sensitive stretches of land in Scotland (read about it here and watch the a mini documentary about the film).
The documentary will be screened this evening in the Scottish Paliament and Karine Polwart will be there singing this song along with Inge Thomson and Steven Polwart.
This evening me and Inge Thomson and Steven Polwart sing it in Committee Room 1 of the Scottish Parliament as part of a screening of the documentary You’ve Been Trumped. An honour! I feel lucky that we have a Parliament that welcomes such events behind its doors, and is genuinely accessible to people with important untold stories.
