You Are Wolf, the alt-folk project of award-winning British composer and writer Kerry Andrew, has announced the release of their forthcoming album ‘hare // hunter // moth // ghost’. Watch the haunting animated video for their new single ‘winter solstice’, made by Marry Waterson.

“The Lost Words” finally reaches us in the form of Spell Songs. Composed by eight of folk’s finest contemporary talents: Karine Polwart, Seckou Keita, Julie Fowlis, Kris Drever, Jim Molyneux, Kerry Andrew, Rachel Newton and Beth Porter, the songs bring us hope for the future.

Part Four of our Best Folk Albums of 2018 includes Sam Sweeney, Siobhan Miller, Hannah Rarity, Iona Fyfe, Phillip Henry, Trembling Bells, Jackie Oates, Eddi Reader and more.

Folk on Foot – which raced to No 1 in the iTunes music podcast chart on its launch day – will be back from October 19 and will feature Jon Boden, Seth Lakeman, Kerry Andrew, Fisherman’s Friends, Stick in the Wheel and Julie Fowlis.

You Are Wolf whom we featured in session in 2011, which you can listen again to here, is to release her debut album ‘Hawk to the Hunting Gone’ in May this year via Stone Tape Recordings.

This weeks Nest Collective Hour will have a bird theme. It is presented by Sam Lee and features a live session from You Are Wolf, she will be performing songs from her bird project.
