We reviewed a great little venue a while back called The Rude Shipyard, which can be found tucked away in Sheffield. They have a great gig lined up for this Wednesday 22nd September featuring Rowan Coupland and Animal Magic Tricks. Rowan Coupland’s Thorns, brambles, white water and Black Oak is the latest in Willkommen Records’ sterling roster of esoteric alt-folk.

Brighton’s premier folk collective Willkommen Records have teamed up with South Coast independent music promoters Melting Vinyl for a second year following last years success to bring you another all day show. The venue is in a nature reserve on the outskirts of Brighton, a mere stroll for those who have partied hard the night before. The fabulous Willkommen Collective are out in force this Friday when they take up residence at The Big Chill’s Lazy Land stage. In addition to 35 of the collective being present from Thursday onwards it’s also Willkommen clarinet player Emma “The Mad Gatter” Gatrill’s birthday so they have extended an open invitation to come and party with them.
