Following the release of his latest album ‘Stand in the Joy’, and his debut appearance at this year’s Cambridge Folk Festival, William Prince returns to the UK & Ireland in November as part of his extensive European Tour.
…regardless of the fact that as an atheist I cannot emotionally plug into much of the album’s lyrical content, speaking simply as a human being William Prince’s “Gospel First Nation” is probably the most relatable record I’ve heard all year.
I am moved not only by William Prince’s stately songs but also by his eloquent message in the sleeve-notes. A compelling storytelling songwriter that has justifiably been compared to John Prine, Townes Van Zandt and Kris Kristofferson.
