London-based American folk legend Tom Paley has died, he was 89 years old. He performed with Woody Guthrie, was a founding member of the New Lost City Ramblers – he was also a huge influence on the British folk scene since moving here in 1965. A warm-hearted character loved by many.

In Tom Paley’s 84th year, the smallest of flames nurtured by 2012 album ‘Roll On Roll On’ now has a chance to spread and establish itself via Paley & Son, a second outing on the Hornbeam label.
