Tom Brosseau

Watch Andrew Bird performing alongside John C. Reilly and Tom Brosseau. Mixing the old with the new they perform an old traditional song from The Carter Family repertoire and a track from his ‘Are You Serious’ album.

We have a song premiere today from North-Dakota-born, Los Angeles-based songwriter and singer Tom Brosseau. No Matter Where I Roam is taken from his new album North Dakota Impressions, the 3rd record of a trilogy following on from Grass Punks (2014) and Perfect Abandon (2015).

A one room, one microphone recording with no overdubs by John Parish, the music on Tom Brosseau’s Perfect Abandon is redolent of dust bowl ballads or early Sun sides…stripped of embellishment to reinforce the songs.

On the latest Simple Folk Radio show Dillon features, amongst some FRUK regulars, a brilliant concept EP from Adam Gnade that was released with little to no fanfare a couple of years ago.

North Dakota’s finest troubadour Tom Brosseau returns to the UK to tour his first solo release in 5 years and his 7th studio album to date.
