Tuareg pioneers and Grammy winners Tinariwen announce their tenth album, Hoggar, arriving March 13th. Returning to their acoustic desert-blues roots, the band shares the single “Sagherat Assani” featuring Sulafa Elyas, which highlights the vital role of female voices in Tuareg music. Recorded in Tamanrasset with a new generation of musicians, the album explores themes of displacement and defiance. A worldwide tour kicks off next month.
For three days, Bristol’s Colston Hall was transformed into a place called Lau-Land. Traditional music mixed with the avant-garde and the genre-defying to create an all-round remarkable experience. But what else would you expect from a weekend curated by such an innovative, creative band such as Lau?
Lau’s travelling festival is back again from Fri 29 – Sun 31 May 2015 as they curate one of their broadest musical events to date at Bristol’s Colston Hall.
