‘whence, the’ is the latest offering from Thirty Pounds of Bone – Experimental but equally delicate and intimate, folk with a cosmic sheen and a human heart, from whence it stems.

Thirty Pounds of Bone and Philip Reeder board Girl Emily, a 1974 fishing boat to perform nine new arrangements of traditional fishing/maritime songs, as the skipper and his mate go about their business of fishing.

The Taxidermist is the fourth full-length album from Thirty Pounds of Bone, the nom de plume of Shetland born multi-instrumentalist Johny Lamb. It marks a departure from its predecessor in being an entirely one-man show with Lamb playing everything, recorded live (with no overdubs or edits) in a cellar in West Cornwall.
