Grace the Blue is the assured solo debut album from The Shee’s Olivia Ross. Given the strength of her songwriting and ability to choose a lineup of the finest backing musicians, it’s to be hoped that the wait for her sophomore release is far shorter.
The Shee are out on the road on their ‘Summer’s Promise’ Tour which sees them performing at intimate venues throughout the UK, and culminating in a performance at Edinburgh’s Tradfest on Monday 9th May.
We Are The Monsters is a new project featuring members of Kathryn Tickell and The Darkening, Monster Ceilidh Band and The Shee. The results promise to be boundary pushing and quite electrifying -a new celtic folk fusion sound.
The Shee head out on tour in May and are to be joined by Scottish-Icelandic percussionist, Signy Jakobsdottir, who is is a new permanent member of the band. The tour kicks off on May 6th at Edinburgh Tradfest.

In celebration of their tenth anniversary last year, The Shee commissioned six of their most favourite, influential composers to write original songs or tunes for the band. The results were spectacular, if you missed their tour last year then fear not…they are on the road again in April 2017.
Our Song of the Day is taken from The Shee‘s live performance of their Continuum project at Celtic Connections 2016. Each member of the band nominated a collaborator to work with and Laura-Beth Salter chose Martin Simpson.
