Peter shares his highlights of the first ever Walton Folk Festival, a sold-out event with afternoon and evening sessions and a lineup of acts that could grace established folk festivals many times its size.

The Urban Folk Quartet are to head the lineup of exciting folk and acoustic acts at the first ever folk festival in Walton-on-Thames in Surrey. They will be joined by The Outside Track, Kitty MacFarlane, Kim Lowings & The Greenwood and more.

Light Up the Dark is the latest offering from The Outside Track. Using musics of their native lands of Scotland, Ireland and Cape Breton as cornerstones there really is no dull moment amongst this generously-stocked offering. Another glorious and strong release from this world-class pan-Celtic band.
