the cave singers

The Cave Singers are back with a new album ‘Naomi’ which, like the album cover, announces a new and brighter sound far removed from the winter doldrums. It all clicks into place…their best release to date!

The Tinder Box a three piece band that hail from south eastern South Dakota. They’ve a great expansive sound for a three piece and if you love 16 Horsepower or The Cave Singers then check’em out!

It’s rather a surprise to find this Washington/Seattle harmonica brandishing trio was in fact borne from the disbandment of Pretty Girls Make Graves. Since their 2007 formation, The Cave Singers have been signed to Matador, releasing two records with the New York label before signing to Jagjaguwar in June of last year; and with whom they now release No Witch.

The Cave Singers have a unique sound that is unmistakeable. Since first releasing Dancing on our Graves they have been causing a stir. There is a raw energy in their music more akin to that of an Old Time band. Their music isn’t complicated and Derek’s guitar picking along with Pete’s vocals and Marty’s percussion create a simple sound that is both original and captivating.
