Another new mix from FRUK featuring some great tracks from: Jason Molina, Stick in the Wheel, Hot Feet, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Conor Oberst and lots more.
Our Song of the Day is taken from Stick in the Wheel’s EP Bones and seems the perfect choice for a Monday after having listened to the morning news…Bedlam.
Stick In The Wheel embody the paradox of making great, vital and unashamedly new music from influences that are ancient, highly personal and brimming with local individuality. They are London at its dirty, inspired best.
Our latest session is from the fabulous ‘Stick in the Wheel’ – aggressively reclaiming traditional material and writing raw original songs with a realness and honesty that has a sound all its own.
Earlier this year we introduced you to London based folk singing trio Stick in the Wheel, if you love the music of The Owl Service then you’ll love them. Watch this recent video of them performing at The Harrison, London.
