Show of Hands are back on the road with Miranda Sykes this Autumn, a welcome return for what has been a busy time for all band members…here’s what they’ve been up to…

Folk Radio UK catches Show of Hands at the sold-out Waterside Theatre in Sale, Greater Manchester. Miranda Sykes and Rex Preston opened the evening of entertainment whilst Show of Hands delighted many with a delve into their back catalogue.

Steve Knightley took advantage of a break in the Show of Hands schedule to fill in with some solo dates. Unsupported and unaccompanied he entertained the crowd at The Met, Bury which included a revisit to some old songs.

The Show of Hands new release ‘Wake the Union’ is a fine showcase of English and American roots and the sound is unmistakably that of Devon’s finest.

Folk rebels Mawkin are to release a new album titled ‘Crow’. The album will feature some special well know English folk guests!

Several unique concerts are in the latest programme for the Spring/Summer season at the home of folk music, Cecil Sharp House in London!

Multi award winning Chris Wood has been confirmed for England’s newest folk festival to be held at Frome in Somerset next February.

Show of Hands are to headline a special one-off free Folk Night in London, as part of the biggest outdoor summer events programme ever seen at Canary Wharf on Wednesday, August 10.
