As Folk rock pioneers Steeleye Span prepare to head out on the road for their 55th Anniversary Green Man Tour, watch rare footage from a 1970 TV appearance and a 1974 performance at Penshurst Place for the BBC.

Steeleye Span announce a new Autumn Tour throughout October and into November 2022, as they continue to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and revisit early albums from their formative years.

Celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year, Steeleye Span’s latest album finds them on something of a roll as they continue dragging Child Ballads into the 21st century.

Steeleye Span will celebrate their 50th Anniversary this year with a tour of the UK in March and April – once more revisiting famous moments and hidden gems from their career. This will lead to the release of their 24th studio album Est 1969, later in the year.

Dodgy Bastards, the latest offering from Steeleye Span, places an audible degree of emphasis on a heavier-duty rock sound. There is a wealth of classic nimble prog-rock-styled guitar manœuvres and an outstanding strength and flexibility in the coordinated harmony work.
