As part of the Southbank Centre’s year-long festival The Rest Is Noise they will be turning the spotlight on folk music in February for a weekend of events under the title of The Rise of Nationalism.
Following the release of their incredible album ‘Orkney: Symphony Of The Magnetic North’, The Magenetic North head out on tour and premiere the film ‘Hunting For Remoteness’ that captures the magic of Orkney.
As part of The Hayward Gallery’s Wide Open School Martin Creed will host an evening in which he plans to be ‘doing some talking, playing songs, bringing some new dance numbers to the floor, and entertaining questions from the audience’.
Folk Radio UK in association with the Southbank Centre are giving away two pairs of tickets to the The Great Folk Jukebox which will be held at the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday 7th May.
