Shooglenifty

Heading West, the remarkable new documentary film about Shooglenifty, one of the most ground-breaking Scottish music bands ever formed in the 1990s, is to tour cinemas throughout Scotland from 30 January 2023.

Since 2012 members of Shooglenifty have been regularly collaborating with musicians of Rajasthan, they have just launched a crowdfunding campaign and prize draw to raise funds for the Rajasthani Coronavirus Relief Fund. There are some excellent prizes.

For this coming weekend Shooglenifty will stream their live album launch video “Shooglenifty: Live in Balquhidder” via standrews.fairsaturday.org in aid of the Jaipur Heritage Trust.

Acid Croft Vol 9 has a warm glow that comes from a new start. Having heard its first fruits, we can tell you that the Shooglenifty magic is brighter than ever.

This Sunday you can join the incredible Shooglenifty, producer Andy Bell and engineer Spad as they listen to and discuss ‘Acid Croft, Vol 9’ on Hudson Records Listening Club.

Shooglenifty premiere their album launch show this Friday 18th September. Recorded live at a barn in Balquhidder with very special guest: Magi McGlynn.
