The End Of The Rainbow is one of Sean Taylor’s most impassioned albums; for all the tribulations, he ultimately offers the hope and faith that “the world keeps turning by and by”.

Taken from his forthcoming ‘Short Stories’ album, Sean Taylor delivers the ice on ‘Be Cool’…a smokey jazz number that nods to Tom Waits, the Beat Generation, Miles and Coltrane.

Taken from his 2021 album ‘The Beat Goes On’, watch Sean Taylor’s accompanying video for ‘The heart of the ocean’. “…a love song. Infinite and ageless. A celebration of the eternal pulse of our shared existence.”

In the wake of the experience of the past two years, ‘The Beat Goes On’ is clearly an album Sean Taylor needed to make, and, as we emerge back into some sort of light, it is very much one we need to hear.

In an era strangely bereft of socially and politically conscious music, it’s a pleasure to hear Sean Taylor at work, and a great reminder of how vital art can be in pursuit of a better, fairer society. Lockdown is a terrific album which deserves to be heard.

A super quality live album that both serves as a broad showcase for the music of one of the modern era’s most gifted singer-songwriter’s, in the classic style of such craftsmen, and a pristine document of a great night out on the live circuit in late 2019.

His delicious caressing of the lyrics reminds me of Mike Scott at his most incisive; I can also hear the soulfulness of Ray LaMontagne at times too. Sean Taylor has recorded an album on a par with the strongest work by either of those high-ranking acts and has also written one of the premier topical song albums of our time.

‘This Is England’ is the powerful new single from Sean Taylor accompanied by a video by Colm McCarthy. It is the first single from Sean’s forthcoming album ‘The Path Into Blue’ recorded in Austin, Texas with producer Mark Hallman.

This autumn sees Sean Taylor, one of our most valuable and unique songwriters, embarking on a 30 date European tour across the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

Flood & Burn is Sean Taylor’s eighth album in just over ten years, and he continues to get better and better. It is a highly accomplished and well-rounded addition to what is already a hugely impressive body of work, and Taylor has quietly become one of our most valuable and unique songwriters.

Part Three – Best Folk Music Albums of 2015 including: Steve Tilston, Barrule, Blazin Fiddles, Boo Hewerdine, Kyle Carey, Peatbog Faeries, Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin, Seckou Keita, Urban Folk Quartet and more

Having established a strong sense of identity with his London centric last album, Sean Taylor now turns his gaze inward to the mystical terrain of the heart and soul and proof that The Only Good Addiction Is Love.
