Saul Williams

Zürich art-rock four-piece District Five have announced GLUT, due May 29 via Stone Pixel Records, and have shared the new single “Push” featuring Saul Williams. A politically unambiguous track, it arrives with an animated video by j4y depicting the fractured rhythms of a day in New York City. The album promises the band’s characteristically expansive, genre-resistant sound, captured live and raw.

On “Saul Williams meets Carlos Niño & Friends at TreePeople”, the music and poetry exist symbiotically, growing out of the same physical and political landscape. Williams has a gift of kindling revolutionary thought through a sense of responsibility, to the land and to each other. It’s a message the world needs to hear, and on this beautiful, angry and groundbreaking live album, he gets that message across with unrivalled eloquence.

Poet Saul Williams and producer Carlos Niño have released “The Water Is Rising…”, a new single featuring poet aja monet. The track pits monet’s soft apocalyptic reading against Williams’s hopeful parable, set to swirling woodwinds from Kamasi Washington and ethereal vibraphone. It’s the latest preview of their collaborative album, Saul Williams meets Carlos Niño & Friends at TreePeople, recorded live outdoors and releasing August 28th.

Poet and vocalist Saul Williams and renowned percussionist and producer Carlos Niño have announced Saul Williams meets Carlos Niño & Friends at TreePeople, a new live album out August 28, 2025, via International Anthem. Recorded outdoors in Los Angeles, the improvised performance features an all-star ensemble including Kamasi Washington and Nate Mercereau. The lead single, “Sound then Words,” is available to stream now.
