The Breath, the sublime partnership of Ríoghnach Connolly and Stuart McCallum, have revealed details of their third album’ Land Of My Other’, due for release via Real World Records on 13th October 2023. Listen to their lead single ‘Don’t Rush It’.

With ‘It’s Been A While, Buddy’, Ríoghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet continue their unique journey, sharing dollops of theatrical fun amongst more honest, personal, heartfelt lyrics, whilst always inhabiting a sprawling terrain of musical forms.

Featuring Andy Cutting, Ríoghnach Connolly & Ellis Davis, Rosie Hood and more, Locations is the result of the efforts of three Liverpool students who drove across the North of England in a red Corsa filled with audio and film equipment to record six musical combinations in six different locations.

The Folk Effect returns on 16 June at 7pm featuring some of the finest names in UK folk, including Ríoghnach Connolly, Kate Young, Ellie Gowers, Lisa Knapp, Gwilym Bowen Rhys and Jackie Oates.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Karen Dalton’s studio album “In My Own Time”, The Breath release two stirring tracks: ‘Something On Your Mind’ along with an accompanying video and ‘Remembering Mountains’, a song she wrote but never released.

Featuring the Afro Celts, Teddy Thompson, Eliza Carthy, Green Gartside, Jackie Oates, Marry Waterson, Stealing Sheep, Honeyfeet and lots more, there’s more than enough invention, inspiration and at times outright eccentricity to ensure there’s something that’ll push your instant replay button.

The acclaimed singer and flautist Rioghnach Connolly is to appear in She Moved Through The Fair: The Legend Of Margaret Barry at Kings Place, London on Saturday, March 16.

One of our favourite singers Ríoghnach Connolly has joined forces with Aizle to record The Wexford Carol as a Christmas single. It’s their take on one of the oldest Christmas carols, as part of a new collaboration.
