Edgelarks is an album that is full of muted, autumnal beauty. Edgelarks may signify a new venture for Hannah Martin and Phillip Henry, but the quality of their songwriting and performing only continues to improve, this is their best yet.

Following the release of their ‘Live’ album and a top performance at Cropredy Festival, we catch up with Gigspanner and Edgelarks (Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin) to talk about their collaboration as Gigspanner Big Band.

The Gigspanner Big Band are a unique musical proposition; they are taking folk music down new and enthralling paths. They are also one of the most exciting live bands you are likely to see this year (or any year, for that matter), and this recording documents their energy, skill and hard work brilliantly.

Show of Hands, joined by special guests, celebrated their 25th Anniversary in front of a 5000-strong audience at the Royal Albert Hall. It was a performance to remember with many of the most heart-stopping moments coming from the core trio of Steve Knightley, Phil Beer and Miranda Sykes.

Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin announce ‘Out of the Ordinary Tour’, venues will include churches, caverns, Iron Age roundhouses, ancient hostelries, steam museums and the labyrinthine Liverpool tunnels. Sounds fantastic!
