Phil Cunningham’s Christmas Songbook returns this December with special guests including Eddi Reader, Karen Matheson, John McCusker, Kris Drever, Ian Carr and Kevin McGuire.

However, when something as carefully planned, and as perfectly executed, as Duncan Chisholm’s The Gathering takes place the results are captivating and memorable.

Our Tune of the Day comes from John McCusker who will be awarded the Good Tradition Award at this year’s BBC Folk Awards. The tune is from his forthcoming album ‘Hello Goodbye.

We have a song premiere today from the wonderful Heidi Talbot. Her new single ‘Christmas in September’ was written by Boo Hewerdine and produced by John McCusker. It’s released on 23rd November through Under One Sky Records.
