With The Land of Time, Pete Morton has created a fine collection of contemporary folk songs which aren’t afraid to face up to some of the more pressing issues of our time with wit, intelligence and nuance. These are rare qualities too often missing from much music today.

Traditional folk singer Maggie Boyle took to the road in April to visit great songwriters in their homes, to talk to them about their work and to record some of their music as part of her great new ‘Kitchen Songs’ project.

Here are some highlights for the forthcoming week from the folks at WeGotTickets, including Martyn Wyndhame-Read, Julie Felix,  Tom Kitching And Gren Bartley, Boo Hewerdine and may more!
